Artists proofs are also known as AP’s and are even more limited than the standard edition release. Typically, they do not exceed 10% of the standard edition. They may be created for numerous reasons such as: for the artists personal use, as a working trial of the print or object etc. They are typically exactly the same as the final edition but sometimes can vary by design and color with changes different from the standard release edition. Due to their scarcity, they typically do not come up often for sale.
