USA. Futura 2000 has been on the forefront of street art from the very start. Having started out as a graffiti artist in New York City in the early 70’s he has made a name for himself on the street and in the world of Contemporary Art as well. Futura’s artwork has transcended and blurred the lines between street and contemporary art as he still avidly uses spray paints in his work just as he did in his early career. Futura’s work features vivid colors, abstract lines and shapes to create visually capturing and dreamy images. He lives up to his name as his work is in a word futuristic. His work is in the permanent collections of museums throughout the world and is exhibited regularly in prestigious galleries.
