Wonderful and vibrant original artwork by Cotemporary Graffiti legend TAKI 183.
Multiple color name “tags” are featured on this hand painted artwork which the artist first started graffitiing on the streets of NYC in 1969. This was very early in the NYC graffiti scene that blossomed in the 70′-80’s.
TAKI and NYC graffiti gained national recognition when he was interviewed by the New York Times in 1971.
Spray paint and acrylic on cradled wood panel.
TAKI’s most familiar signature tag in black is in the center of artwork.
Released in 2017.
